Professor Gets Just Removal

The University of Colorado Board of Regents voted 8-1 to remove Professor Ward Churchhill from his position with the university.  Ward sparked a national outrage when he compared the victims (yes, the victims, not the perpetrators) to Nazi Adolf Eichman.  This is a man, who is engulfed in hatred of the United States and it’s citizens, and he has the power and authority to teach the impressionable minds of our youth.  The thing is, he was not just fired for the “little Eichman’s” comment, which of course is how his attorney is spinning everything.   Actually, the board brought several charges against him including plagiarism and falsifying facts.   According to the story from Newsday

The university’s allegations against Churchill included misrepresenting the effects of federal laws on American Indians, fabricating evidence that the Army deliberately spread smallpox to Mandan Indians in 1837, and claiming the work of a Canadian environmental group as his own.

But the essay that thrust Churchill into the national spotlight, titled “Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens,” was not part of the investigation.

That essay and a follow-up book argued that the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were a response to a long history of U.S. abuses. Churchill said those killed in the World Trade Center collapse were “a technocratic corps at the very heart of America’s global financial empire” and called them “little Eichmanns.”

This is not the type of person that we need interacting with our youth. Mr. Churchill is filled with deceit and hatred, and is more concerned about setting forth his agenda than teaching.
