What is causing the violence in Darfur? Climate of course

File this under stuff that makes you scratch your head.   Stating Saturday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated that the killings in Dafur are associated with climate change

This just goes to show you how mad the world political scene has become.  Never in my life, have I seen such agenda driven politics.  The absolute insanity to look past the obvious, and use every opportunity to promote your agenda is now status quo.   And of course, the Washington Post is more than happy to oblige.

“This suggests that the drying of sub-Saharan Africa derives, to some degree, from man-made global warming,” the South Korean diplomat wrote.

If you do not think that this is agenda driven, please note the use of the phrase ‘man-made global warming’ in the above statement. Anyone who believes that this is a matter of climate change, and a war based on the lack of farm land has not read the facts. This is an ethnic war, and one in which the Sudanese government is heavily involved. From the US Holocaust Museum:

Darfur is home to over 30 ethnic groups, all African and all Muslim. The Janjaweed militas – recruited, armed, trained, and supported by the Sudanese government – are drawn from several small nomadic groups who claim an Arab identity. They have used racial slurs while attacking and raping the targeted groups, who are considered non-Arab. The ethnic and perceived racial basis of the violence has been well documented by the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations, independent human rights organizations, and international journalists.

  1. When I heard that statement, I wanted to cry for the loss of sanity in the world and especially in our leaders. I fear for our future with this kind of thinking forcing its scary agenda down our throats.
