Must Read of the Day: Are our Senators emboldening our enemies?

First, Harry Reid (D-NV), the man who has already called the war ‘lost’, has now let the President know that the surge was a failure.   He and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), sent the President a letter.  Is it any surprise that the one party in our country, that is invested in defeat, sent a letter to show their disgust?

Pelosi and Reid told Bush in the letter that they planned to send him new legislation to “limit the US mission in Iraq, begin the phased redeployment of US forces, and bring the war to a responsible end.”

Reid and Pelosi announce that this is what the American people want, however, both the Congress and Reid’s poll numbers are lower than that of President Bush- so how many people exactly are in support of this madness? And, how can you be lower in the polls than Bush right now- liberals never liked him, and he’s driving away his conservative base.

The insurgents once again must be cheering. To have an ally on their side that is constantly trying to undermine the war effort must be a blessing only Allah could provide. Of course, all of this means is more attempts at legislation and more constraints that will apparently ‘support the troops’. I don’t think that many Americans, especially some of our leaders, don’t understand the enemy that we are against. It was bin Laden himself, who said:

“When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse. “

This is a view into the psyche of how the enemy thinks. If you are perceived to be the strong horse, people will see your strengths, but when you are the weak horse, any strength that you have is overshadowed. Right after the US forces took out Saddam Hussein, we saw unprecedented ease of movement throughout the region. Why? We were the strong horse at the time, and no one wants to mess with the strong horse. To further look into the psyche of our enemy:

“After leaving Afghanistan, the Muslim fighters headed for Somalia and prepared for a long battle, thinking that the Americans were like the Russians,” bin Laden said. “The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized more than before that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows ran in defeat. And America forgot all the hoopla and media propaganda … about being the world leader and the leader of the New World Order, and after a few blows they forgot about this title and left, dragging their corpses and their shameful defeat.”

The truth is, the more you show your weakness, the more our enemy is embolden. Maybe the escalating violence could be because they see the weakness which is the American Senate, and the American Democratic Party. We have the greatest fighting force on the face of the Earth, no one wants to tangle with it. The only way to be defeated, like in Vietnam, is to divide the country and destroy the morale. The enemy is no dummy, they know this, and that is why you’ll never see an organized ‘army’ wearing the colors of a nation.

This is how the enemy attacks, and the enemy is getting aid for our own elected officials.

  1. This will help the enemy. You cannot afford to show your weakness to your enemy, especially one like we are facing in the middle east. They do not respect weakness and they are very patient, something we here in the USA lack. I read an article sometime ago where Bi Laden was quoted as saying the key to victory over the US was patience which is something they can afford. The other man weapon was sacrifice. His statement was if he needed to sacrifice a child to his cause then he would. He stated he had the luxury of a large family and if he sacrificed one for his cause another would replace him. But the US had small families and could not and would not be able to do the same over time.

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more. I just got done reading a book called “America Alone” by Mark
Steyn. It deals with the demography of the world and it’s population. Whereas European countries are actually diminishing with birthrates as low as 1.2 . The US is staying about steady at 2.11 (with 2.1 being replacement). bin Laden is correct though, if you look at the birth rates of the Muslim nations, they are like 5.5, 6.2, etc. The guy is a madman, but he knows his objectives and how to obtain them.

I highly recommend the book, it’s a little scary, but a great read.
