Nominee for the Communist Party?

Is Hillary Clinton Running for the Democratic Presidential Nominee or the Communist Party Presidential Nominee? For anyone that used to (or still considers themselves) a JFK Democrat, you have to scratch your head and wonder who is in control of the party nowadays. It is no secret that the leadership of the Democratic party is leaning towards communism, while it’s newest members (the so called Blue Dogs) actually lean slightly towards conservatism. In a shocking statement, one praised by the AP showing how the salary of CEOs in our country have grown, Mrs. Clinton went almost as far to simply quote Marx’s Manifesto

“I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society….I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”

In other words, “For each according to his ability, to each according to his need” (Karl Marx, 1875). This is straight out of the Communist handbook. Why, in a free society, would we wish for ‘government to once again work for all Americans’? Wasn’t the thinking of our founders that government was wasteful and needed to be kept in check? It is one of the main reasons for the Revolution, and was such a debated topic, that many of the originals opposed forming any type of government.

And for those thinking, ‘you’re taking that out of context’, read on:

“There is no greater force for economic growth than free markets. But markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed…. “Fairness doesn’t just happen. It requires the right government policies.”

This is one of the most hypocritical statements you could make about the open market. If Free Markets are the greatest economic force, than let them be……well, free. Free markets don’t work best with the government making rules, and those rules have nothing to do with our values. Fairness happens every day in the free market. If you don’t like a show, switch the station, you don’t like the service at a store, patronize it’s biggest competitor… that is free choice. The telling of who can work where, how much they can make, and ‘forced’ fairness are just the constraints that destroy business.

I believe it was JFK that said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Hillary Clinton’s version couldn’t be further apart as her party continues to move towards the extreme left.

I think history has proven, there is only one place that Communism works, and that’s on paper.
